Ann Sherry AO is one of Australia’s leading business executives, with a career spanning government, banking and tourism. She is an active philanthropist with a focus on improving opportunities and removing barriers for women in STEM and sport, and supporting opportunities for Indigenous Australians.

She holds a broad and diverse portfolio of leadership roles spanning higher education, banking, aviation infrastructure, climate leadership and the not-for-profit sector, including major financial services, international humanitarian and national cultural organisations. Ann began her career as a radiographer before moving into public policy as First Assistant Secretary of the Office of the Status of Women, advising the Australian Prime Minister on women’s policy and equity initiatives. She went on to lead major banking institutions and later headed the regional operations of a global cruise and tourism company. She has also contributed for many years to the organising committee of the Global Summit of Women.

A longstanding advocate for women’s leadership and opportunity, Ann was inducted into the Australian Business Women’s Hall of Fame and recognised by the Australian Government with the Centenary Medal and appointment as an Officer of the Order of Australia.
